Natural disasters and emergencies are events that often happen at times we cannot predict. It is essential that you understand the risks and adequately prepare for the event to minimise loss.

Building owners and employers are obligated to safeguard all personnel from possible injury and prevent the adverse effects arising from an emergency. It is therefore imperative that you have sufficient quantities of water, food, medical supplies and equipment to sustain life for at least 3 days, or until help arrives.

We can help by providing you a self check list to highlight your risks and offer you a range of practical cost effective solutions.

Readi - Safe Survival Packs are produced to sustain life for at least three days after a natural disaster or emergency. The food products have been designed predominantly to defence specifications. Subject to being stored in a stable environment the food has a three year shelf life from date of production.

The packs are not provided with water. Provision should be made at a rate of 3 litres per person per day.

Where possible we will record you on our database and contact you regarding replacement of your food items after three years.

The packs are available as a Five Person and Two Person Pack.

The Packs contain 80% food components and 20% hardware and essential first aid items. Included are water purification tablets, a flameless heater sleeve, light sticks, first aid kit, aluminium blanket and an array of long life food. Complete instructions are provided.

Five Person Pack can sustain up to five adults, for at least three days. Pack weight - 8 kg.

Two Person Pack can sustain up to two adults, for at least three days. Pack weight - 4 kg.

The packs are light, transportable, compact and versatile. They are ideal in a wide variety of environments such as : commercial businesses, government departments, welfare agencies, hotels, apartments, remote buildings, vehicles, hospitals, public buildings etc.

When preparing your survival kit, obviously providing enough food to last you for the duration of the emergency, or until help arrives, is a critical part of your planning.

In many cases this food needs to be stored in difficult and remote locations and without refrigeration. It must be immediately accessible when required and offer ease of preparation, excellent nutrition and choice.

Depending on the type and severity of the disaster or emergency you face, you may have no power, gas, water supply, sewerage and communications systems. You could be stranded and supporting other people who are traumatised and injured.

It is important, therefore, that your plan to store food is a durable and practical option.

The Hungerbuster Combo Ration Pack is a fully integrated 24 hour ration pack, with all the food being conveniently packed into small manageable portions in an extensive choice of menus. The packs require no refrigeration and a minimum of preparation. Vegetarians are well catered for too.

Subject to being stored in a stable environment, not exceeding 20 deg C, (eg as part of a Civil Defence Kit inside a building or home), the recommended shelf life is three years.

Ideally, some of the main meals are better heated, either in boiling water or with a flameless heater sleeve that is supplied with the survival packs. However in an emergency situation you may not have heating facilities. Being precooked they can be eaten cold straight from the pack without compromising any of the nutritional value. Another problem solved if you have limited or contaminated water.

Many of our customers who purchase Hungerbuster Combo Ration Packs have taken adequate precautions when it comes to providing adequate supplies of water, first aid items, hardware items etc., but have not been able to find a proven supplier of shelf stable food.
